Capgemini Invent is seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage large-scale transformation programs within the aerospace and defense manufacturing sectors. This role involves guiding clients through the adoption of Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and digital operations, with a focus on delivering measurable business improvements. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with senior client stakeholders, including Manufacturing Directors, Operations Leaders, Supply Chain Executives, and Digital Transformation heads, to develop and implement strategies that enhance production ramp-up, operational efficiency, supply chain resilience, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive manufacturing transformation initiatives, leveraging cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies and digital solutions.
- Serve as a strategic partner to high-level clients, providing expert advice and guidance on manufacturing and supply chain improvements.
- Design and execute transformation strategies, including assessments, diagnostics, and value discovery projects to identify operational opportunities.
- Create detailed roadmaps, operating models, and business cases that secure executive support and funding for transformation projects.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams across strategy, engineering, data science, AI, cloud, and technology disciplines to achieve desired outcomes.
- Oversee deployment of Industry 4.0 solutions such as MES, Industrial IoT, AI analytics, digital work instructions, and digital twin technologies.
- Develop offerings related to Physical and Agentic AI applications within manufacturing contexts.
- Ensure that transformation programs deliver tangible operational and financial benefits, maximizing client value.
- Mentor and coach consultants and senior team members, fostering skill development and leadership capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client executives, identifying opportunities for ongoing engagement and growth.
- Lead stakeholder management efforts, aligning diverse groups around common transformation goals.
- Contribute to thought leadership through industry insights, market propositions, and innovation initiatives.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client pitches, and asset development.
- Engage in internal initiatives such as practice development, whitepapers, and team-building activities.
- Invest in continuous learning through training and certifications to stay ahead of technological advancements.
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience leading manufacturing or supply chain transformation projects within aerospace and defense sectors, from top-tier organizations or consulting firms.
- Deep understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, including production systems, assembly, quality management, and supply chain performance.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from strategy to benefits realization.
- Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies such as MES, IIoT, AI, and digital work instructions.
- Track record of delivering measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders and operational teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for innovation and operational excellence, with the ability to translate emerging technologies into business value.
- Experience working within matrix organizations and contributing to business development activities.
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
