Capgemini is seeking experienced professionals to fill the role of Manager or Senior Manager specializing in Smart Plant, Aerospace, and Defence manufacturing. This position involves leading large-scale transformation projects that leverage Industry 4.0 and digital operations to revolutionize manufacturing processes for top aerospace and defense companies. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with senior client stakeholders, including manufacturing and operations leaders, to develop and execute strategies aimed at ramping up production, enhancing operational excellence, strengthening supply chain resilience, and improving quality and industrial performance.

Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive manufacturing assessments, diagnosing organizational maturity, and identifying opportunities for value creation through increased throughput, productivity, and quality. You will craft detailed transformation roadmaps, operating models, and business cases that secure executive approval and investment. Managing multidisciplinary teams across strategy, engineering, data science, AI, cloud, and technology disciplines, you will oversee the deployment of Industry 4.0 solutions such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), AI-powered analytics, digital work instructions, connected worker systems, and digital twin technologies.

In addition, you will contribute to the development of Capgeminiâ??s offerings in Physical and Agentic AI tailored for manufacturing clients. Ensuring that transformation programs deliver measurable operational and financial benefits, you will focus on client value realization. Mentoring and developing consultants and senior consultants, you will foster capabilities in manufacturing transformation, leadership, and client engagement. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with senior client executives, you will identify opportunities for expanding project scope and creating ongoing partnerships.

You will lead complex stakeholder environments, aligning diverse business, operational, and technological interests around a shared vision for change. As a thought leader, you will contribute to market-facing propositions, industry insights, and innovative initiatives within the aerospace and defense sector. Your role also involves supporting business development activities, including preparing proposals, responding to RFPs, delivering client pitches, and developing new propositions. Internally, you will participate in campaign development, practice growth, whitepapers, and team activities. You will also pursue personal growth through training, certifications, and skill enhancement.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading manufacturing or supply chain transformation projects within aerospace and defense, with deep expertise in discrete manufacturing operations such as production systems, assembly, industrialization, ramp-up, quality management, and supply chain performance. Proven success in managing complex initiatives from strategy to benefits realization, along with strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, is essential. Excellent stakeholder management, analytical skills, leadership ability, and eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance are required. The role offers the opportunity to work flexibly across locations, with London, Manchester, or Glasgow as potential bases, and involves travel or periods away from home as necessary.
