We are seeking a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Expert to join our international client in Northamptonshire, England. This role is pivotal in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the MES at the manufacturing site. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to ensure system reliability, drive process improvements, support compliance, and lead future MES development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical authority for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at the manufacturing facility.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the MES to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
  • Integrate the MES with ERP systems and other manufacturing applications.
  • Oversee disaster recovery protocols and assist with system upgrades.
  • Enhance manufacturing processes through MES improvements, automation, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation, and best practices for MES usage.
  • Provide training and ongoing technical support to users of the MES.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, change control processes, and audit requirements.
  • Assess new MES technologies and contribute to the design and implementation of future system architectures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is essential.
  • Proven track record in MES implementation, configuration, and support, particularly with systems like PROMIS, Siemens Opcenter, or Camstar.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools, such as DCL.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
