The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing the control chain that powers, monitors, updates, and secures devices and racks across various platforms, including bare metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux. Security is a fundamental aspect of this role, requiring a deep understanding of how to create a secure environment from the hardware level up to the management plane.
Key Responsibilities:

- Secure interconnects between devices and hosts through authentication and integrity measures.
- Develop cryptographic solutions for key management and device identity verification.
- Ensure safe firmware updates with robust rollback and recovery strategies.
- Harden the host Linux kernel and on-die firmware to protect running systems.
- Work collaboratively with hardware and software teams to embed security into product development, conducting reviews and addressing vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation in security principles with practical experience in threat modeling and risk assessment.
- Hands-on knowledge of secure boot, root of trust, cryptography, and key management.
- Experience in designing secure communication protocols.
- Proficient in C and Rust, with an emphasis on memory safety.
- Experience in creating security mechanisms rather than just using them.
We are particularly interested in candidates who also have experience with:
- Attestation processes and management-plane protocols.
- Hardware security components and firmware hardening techniques.
- Supply chain security and compliance with industry standards.
- AI-assisted security tools and experience with RISC-V or GPU technologies.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will be involved in securing systems at various stages of development. If you thrive in an ambiguous setting and enjoy tackling complex security challenges, we would love to hear from you.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary that reflects your experience and the specialized nature of the role.
- Equity options to share in the company’s success.
- A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- A contributory pension scheme.
- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
- Life and Critical Illness Insurance.
