G-Research is seeking a talented Network Automation Engineer to join our Colo Infrastructure team in London. This role is pivotal as we expand our colocation and low-latency platform, focusing on designing and implementing automation solutions that enhance our infrastructure’s deployment and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation frameworks for network provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Create infrastructure-as-code solutions utilizing Python, Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2.
• Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments.
• Develop APIs and self-service tools for engineering teams to enhance operational efficiency.
• Implement observability and telemetry solutions to monitor performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with network, platform, and security teams to build resilient and scalable systems.
• Contribute to incident response efforts and ensure production reliability.
• Participate in on-call duties for critical infrastructure components.

Who Are We Looking For?

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, particularly in managing high-performance and low-latency network infrastructures. You should possess:

• Proven experience as a network engineer with a strong background in managing high-performance, low-latency, and resilient network infrastructures.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with engineering best practices including testing, version control, and CI/CD.
• Experience with automation tools and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2.
• Familiarity with AI tools, specifically Claude Code, is preferred.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, or telemetry in distributed systems.
• Ability to solve problems pragmatically and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
• Comfortable collaborating within fast-paced engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, ideally with experience in the financial markets.
