This role involves taking full responsibility for the performance, stability, resilience, and security of the company’s network and security systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient data center networks built on Cisco and Arista hardware, ensuring high levels of operational performance and security.
Key responsibilities include enhancing system observability through telemetry, alerting, and performance monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ThousandEyes, enabling proactive network management. The engineer will automate operational tasks using scripting languages and tools like Python, Ansible, Jinja2, and Git, supporting Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD practices for network provisioning. Experience with Cisco and Arista hardware, including switches and routers, and familiarity with network security infrastructure such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation, is essential. Deep knowledge of Cisco and Arista operating systems (IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS, EOS) and practical experience with routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, and MPLS are required. The candidate should also have experience with network monitoring tools designed for predictive analysis and system health monitoring.
