Ping Identity is seeking a talented Partner Sales Engineer to join their team remotely in the UK. This role involves working closely with the sales team to demonstrate and promote Ping Identityâ??s identity management solutions to partners and customers, helping to drive revenue and ensure customer success. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting technical demonstrations, providing guidance, and developing proof of concepts that showcase the value of Ping Identityâ??s offerings. They will act as the main technical resource for clients and internal teams, building trusted relationships and understanding customer needs deeply.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof of concepts in response to RfX requests.
- Serve as the primary technical expert on Ping Identityâ??s solutions, establishing trust and long-term relationships with customers and partners.
- Collaborate with the sales team during all sales phasesâ??qualification, discovery, and technical validationâ??to support revenue growth.
- Coordinate pre-sales efforts with post-sales service teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Lead customer-facing meetings via video conferencing and in-person, delivering engaging presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and live demonstrations to showcase the solutionsâ?? value both remotely and at industry events.
- Provide feedback to product teams regarding customer needs and potential enhancements.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
- Develop deep knowledge of at least one Ping Identity solution, becoming a subject matter expert and resource within the team.
- Travel approximately 15% to 40% of the time, mainly within the UK, with some international travel involved.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Possess a bachelorâ??s degree in computer science or a related field, or have over three years of experience in enterprise software roles involving customer engagement such as pre-sales, consulting, or support.
- Have a strong understanding of identity protocols including SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM, along with experience working with REST APIs.
- Be familiar with core identity technologies like LDAP (including Active Directory), SSL/TLS, PKI, RADIUS, SQL, DNS, and JDBC.
- Experience with programming languages and web technologies such as JavaScript, Python, Node.js, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON, or Java.
- Proven ability to create and deliver technical presentations, workshops, tailored demos, and proof of concepts effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach, capable of translating technical features into business advantages.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team and with clients.
- Knowledge of IAM concepts such as Authentication, Authorization, Federation, Single Sign-On, User Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, Governance, and Workflow. Industry-specific expertise is a bonus.
- Understanding of infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.
