Bloomberg is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Portfolio & Risk Analytics Sales Specialist to join their team in London, covering the UK & Ireland. This role focuses on driving new business growth by selling Bloombergâ??s advanced risk management and portfolio analytics solutions to institutional buy-side clients, including asset managers, pension funds, insurers, hedge funds, and sovereign institutions.

Bloombergâ??s Portfolio & Risk Analytics division offers some of the most sophisticated tools in the industry for risk management, valuation, and investment analytics. These solutions leverage Bloombergâ??s leading pricing engines, derivative libraries, and extensive data infrastructure to help investment professionals accurately value complex financial instruments, measure market and counterparty risk, streamline workflows, and make better-informed portfolio decisions in real time. As buy-side firms face increasing demands to manage risk across multiple asset classes, larger datasets, and more complex strategies, Bloomberg provides an integrated, enterprise-wide platform that covers portfolio analytics, risk management, valuation, and investment workflows.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will act as an enterprise sales specialist with a focus on expanding Bloombergâ??s presence in the UK market. Your responsibilities include managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, engaging with senior decision-makers, and demonstrating the value of Bloombergâ??s multi-asset risk solutions across various investment strategies. You will need to build strong relationships with executives such as Chief Investment Officers, Chief Risk Officers, Heads of Asset Allocation, and Senior Portfolio Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the UK buy-side investment community to increase revenue.
- Lead the full sales process, including prospecting, presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Establish and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders, demonstrating Bloombergâ??s enterprise value across risk modeling, performance attribution, asset-liability management (ALM / LDI), private markets, and data architecture.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Relationship Managers, Product, and Core Sales teams to deliver comprehensive solutions aligned with client needs.
- Maintain a structured sales pipeline, track progress, and ensure consistent achievement of commercial targets.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrable success in enterprise sales of portfolio analytics, multi-asset risk, or financial technology solutions to institutional clients.
- In-depth knowledge of portfolio management, multi-factor risk models, performance attribution, and cross-asset valuation techniques.
- Strong understanding of current institutional investment workflows, including active asset management, asset-liability management (ALM), LDI strategies, and private market asset integration.
- Commercial acumen with experience managing long sales cycles and negotiating high-stakes deals with senior executives.
- Familiarity with the UK asset management and asset owner landscape, including market trends and challenges.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills tailored to senior-level audiences.
