About the Role
The primary responsibilities include analyzing detailed RFPs related to power and cooling infrastructure, and assisting IT architects in designing solutions that adhere to specified constraints. You will be tasked with creating advanced power and cooling systems for both air-cooled and water-cooled IT hardware setups. Engaging with key stakeholdersâ??whether customers or internal teamsâ??is essential to understand their infrastructure needs and define clear success criteria.
You will collaborate closely with sales teams and technical subject matter experts to determine the scope of solutions, estimate costs, and prepare comprehensive proposals. Maintaining ongoing relationships with clients and internal teams is crucial to meet project goals and requirements.
Decisions on whether to build or buy components of the solution will be part of your responsibilities, along with identifying key technologies necessary for product development and future releases. You will also participate actively in the physical installation of complex IT systems that utilize air or water cooling methods.
Providing engineering guidance across disciplines such as electrical power, mechanical systems, thermal management, plumbing, and controls is a key aspect of this role. You will oversee vendors involved in delivering various parts of the solution, ensuring quality and timeliness. The role requires approximately 50% travel, with remote work flexibility.
