Principal EDA Engineer Overview

Our client, a well-funded deep-tech company specializing in next-generation quantum computing hardware and software, is seeking a highly experienced Principal EDA Engineer to join their team in London. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote work with on-site collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining all EDA environments within the organization, managing the EDA team across multiple projects, and working closely with design and layout engineers to facilitate the tape-out process. Additionally, they will coordinate with foundry partners to oversee ASIC fabrication workflows, ensuring all processes meet strict sign-off criteria and manufacturing standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a CAD/EDA specialist, with extensive experience supporting analog circuit design flows for ASIC development. They should be proficient in interfacing with foundries, knowledgeable about fabrication delivery requirements, and experienced in using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Siemens Calibre, and Keysight ADS. Scripting skills in languages like Python, Skill, Bash, or Perl are essential to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
