We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electronics Engineer to join a reputable semiconductor technology firm located in West London. This role involves taking on a hands-on technical leadership position, overseeing the design and development of advanced electronic systems that combine analogue and digital components. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining hardware architectures, supporting projects from initial concept through to production, and managing schematic design, PCB development, and component selection.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and development of complex electronic systems, ensuring they meet high-performance standards.
• Define and support hardware architecture decisions across various projects, guiding them from conception to manufacturing.
• Oversee schematic design processes, PCB layout, and the selection of suitable electronic components.
• Assist in prototype testing, debugging, and troubleshooting within laboratory environments to ensure system functionality.
• Collaborate closely with embedded software, FPGA, and mechanical engineering teams to facilitate smooth system integration.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members, fostering innovation and best practices.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in analogue and digital circuit design, with a solid background in PCB development.
• Experience working on complex hardware systems within the semiconductor or high-technology sectors.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing both detailed technical issues and architectural challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
