Principal Enterprise Architect Overview

Celonis is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to join their team in London, United Kingdom. This role is pivotal in designing transformative solution architectures for clients, requiring a blend of technical expertise and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and define the overall architecture, data, and cloud strategy for major client accounts, utilizing expertise in enterprise modernization and capability mapping.
• Engage confidently with C-level executives at customer organizations, aligning their strategic goals with Celonis’ technical strategies.
• Drive innovation by identifying and architecting solutions that incorporate emerging technologies, particularly Agentic AI.
• Act as a liaison between Celonis’ product and engineering teams and client teams to deliver optimal technical services.
• Evaluate the IT landscape maturity of existing customers in the region.
• Participate in both pre-sales and post-sales activities by collaborating with customer architecture and security teams.
• Mentor and guide Celonis consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation challenges, including architecture, integration, performance, and scalability.
• Create reusable assets for consulting teams to utilize in projects.
• Develop customer-facing documents, assets, and thought leadership presentations focused on architecture and innovation with Celonis.
• Prepare technical designs and presentations for both internal and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in roles such as Software Vendor Architect, CTO at a consulting firm, or Enterprise Architect at a customer.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, linking technical solutions to business value and customer objectives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven history of presenting complex technical ideas and strategic visions to C-level executives.
• Experience in Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and a solid understanding of Agentic AI.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions, ERP systems (especially SAP), Salesforce, Dynamics CRM, or ServiceNow, as well as cybersecurity fundamentals and API ecosystems.
• A solid background in Data Architecture, integration patterns, and experience with data-related programming languages such as SQL and Python.
• A strong technical foundation focused on system integrations, data operations, and automation capabilities.
• Ability to transition from discussing architecture diagrams to practical coding or assembling demos of those architectures.
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field in Information Technology.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages like Spanish, German, French, or Italian is a significant advantage.
