They are currently seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development of low-level firmware for their next-generation SoC products. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the entire firmware development process, from pre-silicon validation to post-silicon system initialization.

The role requires close collaboration with hardware and architecture teams to ensure seamless firmware integration, performance, and security. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and debugging embedded software, with a focus on creating robust, secure, and maintainable solutions. A key aspect of the position involves implementing security features such as secure boot processes and troubleshooting complex embedded systems to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of low-level firmware for advanced SoC products.
• Manage firmware development from initial validation stages through to system bring-up after silicon fabrication.
• Work closely with hardware and architecture teams to ensure firmware compatibility and performance.
• Design and develop secure embedded software, including features like secure boot mechanisms.
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems to identify and resolve firmware-related issues.
• Contribute to shaping the technical direction of firmware development within the company.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in low-level firmware development using C and C++ languages.
• Deep understanding of ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and their peripheral interfaces.
• Experience in developing secure embedded software, particularly with secure boot features.
• Knowledge of IoT or networking stacks such as TCP/IP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Matter, or Thread is advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with hardware and architecture teams on complex embedded projects.
• Strong grasp of the firmware development lifecycle, from validation to system initialization.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on high-performance semiconductor solutions.
