Arm is seeking a senior-level Principal Product Manager to oversee the development and strategic direction of its AI tooling products. This role involves creating a unified developer experience that streamlines the process for machine learning engineers to move from trained models to optimized, validated, and deployable artifacts on Arm-based hardware. The AI tools will integrate capabilities such as model graph inspection, hardware compatibility analysis, graph partitioning, quantization, and performance optimization, supporting deployment across Arm CPUs, GPUs, Ethos-U NPUs, and evolving alongside Arm’s technology roadmap.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics, ensuring the tools meet developer needs and are easy to incorporate into existing workflows, including command-line interfaces, Python, Jupyter notebooks, IDEs, CI systems, and AI agents. They will work to enhance model compatibility with Arm accelerators, providing benefits during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases, and will leverage UX research, market data, and technical insights to inform product decisions. Innovation in agentic model optimization, including automation that is safe and reproducible, will be a key focus.
Building partnerships with machine learning framework providers, runtime developers, silicon manufacturers, and accelerator vendors is essential to expand ecosystem support and ensure product success. The role requires a strong technical background, with experience managing development tools such as CLIs, SDKs, and APIs, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, ONNX, ExecuTorch, Llama.cpp, vLLM, and LiteRT. An understanding of deploying models to edge and embedded systems, balancing accuracy, performance, and power consumption, is also necessary.
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or computer science, with a proven ability to guide technical products from concept to adoption, making strategic trade-offs and building alignment across teams and stakeholders. Excellent communication skills are vital for engaging with developers, partners, and senior leadership.
In the first year, the focus will be on establishing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, delivering an agent-ready experience, and measuring developer adoption and success. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of machine learning on one of the world’s most widespread computing platforms.
