As a member of the Fixed Income Index team within the Enterprise Data Product Group, you will play a crucial role in developing new index products. Your responsibilities will include generating ideas, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and enhancing Bloomberg’s Fixed Income Index offerings. You will be expected to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, run simulations for potential products, and create materials to support product launches.

To succeed in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of the institutional asset management industry, index trends, and client needs. Your experience should ideally include product management for investment vehicles, and you should be capable of influencing product vision and executing on that vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the creation of new index ideas and guide the business approach to product development.
• Work closely with clients to develop index products that meet their investment needs.
• Communicate product vision within Bloomberg and build consensus among senior leadership.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and index production teams on product design.
• Manage the entire index lifecycle from ideation to product launch.
• Support business development efforts alongside the Index Sales team.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of index industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of the Fixed Income asset class.
• Experience in asset management, consulting, or index product development.
• Strong academic background in analytical or technical fields.
• Hands-on product experience, preferably from an index or research background.
• Client-focused with a desire to problem-solve.
• Experience in backtesting strategies.
• Proficiency in writing white papers and client-facing materials.
• Broad understanding of the index industry and financial markets.
• Strong marketing skills and collaborative spirit.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of regulations on financial indices.
• Familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
