Product Manager – Funds & Index Analytics Overview

Bloomberg is seeking a Product Manager to oversee the strategy for holdings-based analytics related to funds and indices. This role is crucial as funds and indices are integral to the Bloomberg ecosystem, utilized by a diverse range of market participants including portfolio managers and fund selectors. As the demand for analytical and automated client workflows grows, there is a significant opportunity to enhance the delivery of funds and index analytics across Bloomberg’s platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy for these analytics, ensuring they are consistently available through scalable services and APIs. This includes analytics based on the underlying holdings of funds or constituents of indices, such as OAS or KRD for fixed income indices, and various valuation and risk metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy for Bloomberg’s holdings-based analytics across funds and indices, aligned with key initiatives.
• Translate client and business needs into clear product direction and prioritization.
• Develop unified and consistent user experiences across funds, index analytics, Portfolio Analytics, and related products.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Data, Enterprise, and Product teams to implement scalable analytics capabilities.
• Ensure the consistent delivery of analytics across various user interfaces, APIs, data products, and AI-driven workflows.
• Define success metrics and assess impact through client engagement, data usage, and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in product management or a related field within financial data and analytics.
• Strong understanding of holdings-based analytics, including performance metrics, risk analysis, and scenario analysis.
• Experience with equity and fixed income analytics, demonstrating the ability to work across different asset classes.
• Familiarity with fund selection processes, portfolio analysis, and index analytics workflows.
• Proficient in working with data systems, APIs, and analytics platforms.
• Ability to navigate both technical and business environments, collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
• Proven track record in defining product strategy and making prioritization decisions in complex, cross-functional settings.
• Technical fluency and strong problem-solving skills.
