Join G-Research as a Quant Research Intern for a 10-week summer program where you will delve into the world of quantitative finance. Responsibilities
- Participate in a 10-week summer internship program focused on quantitative research.
- Engage in a meaningful research project that requires innovative mathematical and computational analysis.
- Utilize scientific methodologies and statistical analysis to extract predictive signals from financial time-series data.
- Employ techniques in mathematical modeling, deep learning, optimization, and machine learning to address real-world challenges.
- Implement back-testing frameworks to validate signal robustness and create performance simulation pipelines for portfolios.
- Collaborate closely with a mentor who is a Quantitative Researcher, receiving structured feedback throughout the internship.
- Present research findings to senior management at the conclusion of the internship.
- Participate in social events and activities organized for interns to foster networking and community building.
Requirements
- Possess a strong mathematical foundation.
- Have intermediate programming skills in at least one object-oriented language, preferably Python or C#.
- Demonstrate interest in applying data science, machine learning, and optimization techniques to practical problems.
- Be in the final or penultimate year of a Master’s or PhD program in a technical or quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science, with a preference for PhD candidates.
- Active GitHub or Kaggle profiles are desirable but not mandatory.
- Previous finance experience is not required, but a genuine interest in finance and a willingness to learn are essential.
