Join a rapidly expanding, well-funded semiconductor company that is pioneering next-generation RF technology for mobile and connected devices. This organization is dedicated to simplifying RF front-end architectures at a system level, enabling more efficient and scalable connectivity solutions across diverse applications. As an RF Lead Engineer, you will be instrumental in transforming innovative RF concepts into tangible, deployable hardware. You will work closely with architecture teams, systems engineers, and broader engineering groups to ensure seamless integration and performance of RF modules.

Role Overview

In this position, you will assume ownership of RF subsystem design and delivery within a specified system architecture. The role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, overseeing design, validation, and team development. Your primary goal will be to drive RF performance from initial concept through to final validation, ensuring that all designs fulfill technical specifications and commercial expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Lead RF design activities aligned with system-level requirements, oversee RF subsystem performance, and provide technical approval during design reviews.
  • RF Design & Development: Design and simulate RF circuits including LNAs, PAs, filters, and duplexers. Convert architectural requirements into detailed RF designs and optimize performance within system constraints.
  • Testing & Validation: Develop and implement RF testing plans, analyze measurement data such as S-parameters, noise figures, EVM, ACPR, phase noise, and linearity. Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve RF issues.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Support and mentor RF engineers within the team, promote best engineering practices, and ensure high-quality documentation standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with system architects and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive integration. Contribute to technical decision-making, planning, and risk management processes.
  • Manufacturing Support: Assist in manufacturing and production testing to ensure RF modules meet quality and performance standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in RF Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a similar discipline, with extensive practical experience in RF circuit design across relevant frequency ranges. Proven success in delivering RF projects at a senior or lead level is essential. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of RF theory, practical implementation skills, and familiarity with simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, CST, or HFSS. Confidence in operating RF lab equipment like VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators is required. The role demands a delivery-oriented mindset, strong technical communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment where architecture and productization are closely interconnected.

This opportunity offers a chance to influence the design and deployment of RF systems in cutting-edge wireless products. It is suitable for professionals who enjoy combining deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities and want their work to have a tangible impact in the industry.
