Role Overview

As the EMEA AE Lead for Beneficial Deployments, you will spearhead sales initiatives targeting organizations committed to social impact. Your responsibilities include developing tailored sales strategies that consider regional funding cycles, regulatory environments, and stakeholder ecosystems. You will build and lead a regional team, establish operational processes, and support the team in closing deals while also personally managing key accounts. Your role requires significant autonomy, strategic thinking, and adaptability to evolving priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth within mission-driven organizations across EMEA.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, including executive teams, trustees, and IT departments, to facilitate consensus and sales success.
  • Build and manage a regional sales team, defining hiring and operational strategies for scaling.
  • Design innovative, region-specific sales approaches considering local funding and regulatory contexts.
  • Maintain relationships with key nonprofit networks, education alliances, and regional partners.
  • Gather user feedback to influence product development, especially regarding regional needs like data sovereignty and compliance.
  • Refine sales methodologies, incorporating regional insights into global best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, and address customer concerns about data privacy and AI ethics.
  • Collaborate with teams across time zones, maintaining regular communication and alignment.
  • Contribute to shaping team culture and processes as the sales operation expands.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 8 years of B2B sales experience in nonprofit tech, EdTech, or social impact sectors, especially in SaaS or emerging technologies within EMEA.
  • Proven success in managing complex sales cycles and closing strategic deals with nonprofits, INGOs, foundations, and educational institutions.
  • Experience in building and leading sales teams across multiple regions and cultural contexts.
  • Deep knowledge of nonprofit operations, including INGO structures, European foundation funding, UK charity sector, and higher education procurement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging trustees, program officers, and procurement committees.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments, building processes from scratch.
  • Excellent understanding of GDPR, UK data laws, and AI ethics concerns.
  • Track record of exceeding revenue targets independently, managing diverse pipelines across time zones.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to different cultural audiences.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in French is highly valued, with additional European languages a plus.
  • Passion for social impact and commitment to leveraging technology for mission-driven work.
  • Optional: active involvement in the EMEA nonprofit or education sectors, existing relationships with major organizations, familiarity with data privacy standards, and experience presenting at sector conferences.

Benefits and Logistics

  • Annual salary between £280,000 and £330,000 GBP, including base and performance-based earnings.
  • Visa sponsorship is available; the company will make reasonable efforts to secure a visa, supported by legal assistance.
  • Hybrid working model requiring at least 25% office presence, with some roles possibly needing more time onsite.
  • Travel within EMEA (up to 30%) and quarterly trips to San Francisco headquarters.
