SAP BI Lead Overview

The successful candidate will take on a pivotal role in creating, designing, and delivering SAP core reporting capabilities tailored to various business units, with a particular focus on Finance. This position requires collaboration across teams to enhance reporting availability, thereby facilitating data-driven decision-making.

The individual will be responsible for building and leading the SAP reporting team, concentrating on streamlining existing reports and developing new standardized reporting templates and dashboards to promote broader business adoption. The role involves driving the strategic design, development, and support of SAP reporting solutions utilizing Core BI, SAC, and Data Sphere, ensuring optimal reporting capabilities throughout the organization.

As the technical owner and reporting champion, the candidate will provision the necessary tools for data-driven business decisions. Responsibilities include providing expert SAP reporting guidance, establishing a best-in-class reporting competency within the SAP Center of Excellence, and influencing senior leadership on the adoption of SAP reporting capabilities.

The successful applicant will also mentor the BI, SAC, and Data Sphere functional team, implementing effective methodologies for the reporting lifecycle and developing standardized reporting templates and dashboards for strategic decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive hands-on technical skills in SAP BI, SAC, and Data Sphere.
• Strategic understanding of SAP data and analytics roadmap.
• Validated experience in driving continuous improvements and leading SAP reporting development in a large organization.
• Experience in stakeholder management and relationship building.
• Ability to adapt communication for senior leaders and present complex technical proposals to non-technical audiences.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
