Capgemini is seeking an experienced SCADA and OT Architect to lead enterprise-level strategies for SCADA and operational technology systems within utility environments. This role involves guiding the technical direction for integrating SCADA and OT systems, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with digital transformation goals. The architect will establish foundational architectures that support sustainable OT-IT integration and enable cloud-ready, data-driven operations across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the enterprise SCADA and OT platform strategies, defining future-ready reference architectures suitable for various deployment models, including centralized, distributed, and hybrid setups.
- Provide technical leadership across converged IT and OT domains, ensuring alignment of requirements, standards, and roadmaps, and supporting business case development.
- Develop and govern vendor-neutral criteria for selecting SCADA and OT platforms, emphasizing interoperability, lifecycle management, supportability, and future-proofing.
- Lead the development of a unified namespace and standardization practices, covering asset models, naming conventions, signals, events, and metadata management.
- Champion modern OT integration techniques that facilitate secure, scalable, and event-driven data exchanges between OT systems, enterprise platforms, and cloud services.
- Conduct architectural and technical design review sessions, managing risks, assumptions, constraints, and documenting key decisions with clarity and auditability.
Candidate Profile
- Deep experience designing and deploying enterprise SCADA architectures within water or utility sectors.
- Strong understanding of OT systems and practical expertise in IT/OT convergence.
- Comfort working with complex, multi-vendor, and legacy systems, with a focus on modernization and migration strategies.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, engaging operational, engineering, digital, network, and cybersecurity professionals effectively.
- Extensive background in enterprise SCADA architecture design across diverse OT environments.
