Kpler is seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Manager to join their Maritime division serving the Northwest Europe region. This role focuses on expanding revenue through managing key accounts, developing strategic upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and building long-term relationships with industry leaders. The successful candidate will play a vital part in driving regional growth by transforming complex maritime data into actionable commercial solutions that support clients’ strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and grow the revenue of key maritime accounts across Northwest Europe, consistently surpassing sales targets.
  • Identify, nurture, and close strategic opportunities for upselling and cross-selling aligned with client needs.
  • Act as a trusted business partner by contributing to sales forecasts, long-term planning, demand analysis, and pipeline management.
  • Gather market intelligence, including insights on competitors and product trends, directly from client interactions to influence product development and commercial strategies.
  • Ensure CRM data in Salesforce is accurate and up-to-date to support forecasting and cross-team collaboration.
  • Negotiate multi-year contracts and commercial terms that are profitable and compliant with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with maritime industry stakeholders, fostering ongoing collaboration.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities within the maritime trade ecosystem to support regional expansion.

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant experience in B2B sales or account management roles, with a strong commercial background.
  • Experience working within the maritime, energy, or commodities sectors; maritime experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to sell data, analytics, or SaaS solutions, particularly in technology or data vendor settings.
  • Demonstrated success in expanding accounts, generating outbound opportunities, and closing complex deals involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a proactive approach to business development.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel across Northwest Europe as needed for client meetings and industry events.
  • Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is advantageous.
  • Additional European language skills are a bonus.
