Amazonâ??s Brand Innovation Lab is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Conceptual Creative (Art Director) to develop unique campaigns for a variety of brands across Europe. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of art directors, copywriters, designers, solutions managers, and producers to create exceptional customer experiences both online and offline, utilizing platforms such as Prime Video, Alexa, and Twitch.
Your responsibilities will include leading projects and managing client relationships, ensuring that the work produced is beneficial to the end customer while pushing creative boundaries from conception to execution. You will be tasked with delivering ambitious, insightful, and data-driven concepts that translate needs into customer-focused brand campaign ideas and solutions. This may involve creating video content, user interface designs, interaction models, prototypes, and interactive advertising campaigns.
As a Conceptual Creative, you will leverage data and insights to inform campaign strategies and concepts, develop designs, and create templates for innovative brand campaigns that address customer needs across Amazon platforms. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Figma, and ideally have an interest in learning Webflow. We are looking for a conceptual art director with strong design skills and a solid understanding of UX design.
Your portfolio should highlight highly creative and award-winning campaigns that effectively solve customer and advertiser challenges through various media channels, including video, social, digital activations, radio, and outdoor advertising. You should possess strong conceptual thinking, presentation abilities, storytelling skills, time management capabilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and execute innovative advertising campaigns and experiences for global brands.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, program managers, developers, strategists, and producers to create customer-focused solutions that meet advertiser objectives.
- Independently lead campaigns from brief to execution while working with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners.
- Maintain a strong focus on understanding customer needs and delivering innovative and effective work.
- Present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Ideate for various media formats including film, print, digital, out-of-home, experiential, and social.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to budget constraints and deadlines.
- Proactively develop new products and ideas that enhance customer experiences.
About the Team
The Brand Innovation Lab is Amazon’s Ads Innovation team dedicated to creating unique campaigns and activations for global advertisers. We leverage the full Amazon canvas, including custom landing pages, Alexa, Fire TV, Twitch, and Prime Video, to build campaigns that reach millions of customers across digital channels and in the real world. The team focuses specifically on Prime Video IP and brands, developing co-branded full-funnel campaigns.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team.
- In-depth understanding of industry design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma) and a basic understanding of UX design and UX design tools (e.g., Webflow).
- Exceptional presentation skills and interactive storytelling ability, along with strong organization and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Keynote.
- Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research, and marketing teams to create strategies and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions.
- Experience leading the creative development of innovative concepts from inception to delivery.
- Experience effectively presenting creative concepts to senior executives.
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience in developing creative concepts and executing campaigns for brand partnerships and/or sponsorships.
