Senior Devops/Infrastructure Engineer Overview

Our client, a rapidly growing technology company specializing in applying artificial intelligence to the telecommunications sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative Voice AI products that are deployed in carrier-scale environments, tackling some of the most advanced challenges in Speech AI, Conversational AI, and AI safety.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with backend developers and machine learning/AI engineers to deploy, maintain, and optimize development and staging environments. You will be responsible for developing pipelines for AI workflows, deploying machine learning models, and designing deployment packages tailored for telecommunications infrastructure. Collaboration with telecom engineering teams will be essential to ensure seamless deployment and operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with backend and AI teams to deploy and manage development and staging environments effectively.
• Build and oversee pipelines for machine learning and AI workflows, including deploying models into production.
• Design and implement deployment packages for telecom applications, working alongside telecom engineers.
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the stability and security of production systems, using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, and adopt GitOps practices with Helm and ArgoCD.
• Operate GPU workloads on Kubernetes clusters, managing drivers, scheduling, and resource utilization efficiently.
• Maintain and improve AI workflows within Kubernetes environments, utilizing tools like Kubeflow for MLOps.
• Handle secrets management and enforce security policies such as least-privilege access across different environments.
• Support deployment activities in air-gapped environments, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including deploying and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes container orchestration and deployment.
• Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as Helm and ArgoCD for deployment automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Azure cloud experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices in Kubernetes environments, including Kubeflow.
• Experience managing GPU workloads on Kubernetes, including driver and scheduling management.
• Background in AI engineering, with experience deploying AI models and pipelines.
• Experience deploying in air-gapped environments, ensuring security and operational standards.
• Understanding of secrets management and security best practices.

Work Arrangement
