About the Drive Foundation

The Drive Foundation is essential for Proton Drive, ensuring that cross-client initiatives are executed efficiently. Our current focus is on developing a Software Development Kit (SDK) that encapsulates the core functionality of Proton Drive, with implementations in C#, TypeScript, and Rust.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of core libraries in C#, TypeScript, and Rust for Proton Drive applications.
• Ensure compatibility and optimal performance across various platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to maintain code quality and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with developers across backend, frontend, mobile, and desktop teams for seamless integration.
• Develop comprehensive testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to ensure reliability.
• Create and maintain documentation for core libraries to assist other developers.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, focusing on Rust.
• Strong expertise in Rust language features, concurrency, and ownership models.
• Experience in developing libraries for web, mobile, and/or desktop applications.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and efficient troubleshooting abilities.
