Arm is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Software Technology and Products to join our team in Cambridge, UK. This role involves working closely with key customers to define and prioritize software enablement and optimization requirements, developing strategies to deliver these solutions within Arm’s software ecosystem. The successful candidate will be part of our Central Engineering Software group, which plays a bridging role across various Arm technologies, addressing the increasing demand for software solutions on Arm hardware.

The core responsibilities include evaluating the entire value chain from end users to hardware and software designers, supporting productization, quality assurance, and customer support activities. You will gather market-specific needs and translate them into strategic product plans, working collaboratively with internal engineering teams and external software vendors to prioritize features that meet customer expectations. Conducting competitive analysis to understand Armâ??s position relative to competitors is also a key part of this role.

You will actively promote Armâ??s software offerings within open-source communities and energize sales and customer teams through participation in meetings, training, and community engagement. Your role involves defining and managing the software development roadmap, focusing on configuration, optimization, and product delivery. Developing strategies for new and existing software components to support Armâ??s broad product ecosystem is essential.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in creating and managing software requirements, with a solid understanding of validation and quality assurance processes. Effective communication skills are vital for articulating ideas and collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders. Hands-on software development experience, whether in firmware, operating systems, or applications, is required. The ability to work independently while contributing to a global team, along with willingness to travel up to 25%, is also necessary.

Preferred qualifications include a university degree in a relevant field, familiarity with open-source software development lifecycle, and experience in software product lifecycle management. Additional advantageous skills include technical product management, experience in hardware-related software development, and expertise in non-functional areas such as performance and safety.
