Our international client is seeking a highly skilled Senior NPI Product Engineer to oversee and facilitate the launch of new semiconductor products, guiding them from initial development stages through to high-volume manufacturing and transfer to production facilities. This role involves working across various departments including Design, Test, Validation, Quality, Reliability, Applications, Marketing, and Operations to ensure a seamless product introduction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of new semiconductor products, managing all phases from concept to production release.
- Coordinate with multiple teams to meet project milestones, prepare release documentation, and ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Design and apply strategies for Design for Testability (DFT) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) to optimize testing and production processes.
- Support the creation and refinement of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test programs, ensuring comprehensive coverage and product quality.
- Finalize product datasheets and define production test limits to meet specifications.
- Develop detailed characterization plans that cover various process, voltage, and temperature conditions (PVT), and perform experiments such as DOE (Design of Experiments).
- Analyze test data, including correlation studies and process capability assessments, to identify yield issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Monitor manufacturing yield and quality metrics, supporting failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Participate in CAPA activities to address production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with foundries and OSAT partners to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing process efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in semiconductor product and test engineering, with a solid understanding of semiconductor physics.
- Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal ICs, with hands-on experience in test program development.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Excel or JMP for data-driven decision making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by excellent communication abilities.
- BachelorĂ¢??s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in developing characterization plans, yield analysis, and process capability studies.
- Familiarity with DFT and DFM principles and their application in product design and manufacturing.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and with external manufacturing partners to achieve project goals.
