We are seeking a strategic and customer-focused Senior Program Manager to lead initiatives within the US Navy logistics domain. This role involves designing and executing programs that enhance logistics capabilities for the US Navy, ensuring mission-critical outcomes for government clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a portfolio of customer success projects focused on onboarding, adoption, value realization, and renewal.
  • Lead the identification of opportunities and provide support for sales activities, including responses to RFI/RFPs for new and existing programs.
  • Collaborate with senior government leaders to influence program directions, requirements, and contracts.
  • Manage large-scale, cross-functional programs from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and oversee a strategic roadmap for customer success initiatives that align with company goals and customer needs.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by gathering and analyzing feedback to guide Appian’s product strategy.
  • Provide expertise in Navy logistics to inform modernization approaches and Appian’s product vision.
  • Drive innovation in program delivery, including the integration of AI technologies to enhance delivery speed and quality.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer health, agile delivery metrics, and program operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure a cohesive customer experience across all interactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to customer success, proactively developing strategies to address challenges.
  • Lead and mentor Customer Success team members to foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in program management, specifically managing complex technology modernization initiatives within the Department of Defense or relevant federal agencies.
  • Possession of a PMP or PgMP certification and agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex programs and manage large-scale projects with measurable outcomes, overseeing more than 50 resources and $13M in annual services revenue.
  • Experience in developing and mentoring personnel.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience and established relationships within the Navy logistics sector.
  • Proficiency in Appian and other modern platform technologies like Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Palantir, as well as custom application development.
  • Experience in leading technology modernization using agile methodologies and AI-enabled code generation.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
