Joining the Mandiant Security Transformation Services (STS) team at Google, you will play a crucial role in helping organizations develop effective security operations programs aimed at minimizing risks and reducing the impact of security breaches. Role Overview
As a Senior Remediation Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to guide clients through complex cybersecurity remediation efforts during and after security incidents. You will act as the main leader in remediation activities, developing and executing plans for eradication, recovery, and containment, all while coordinating with incident response teams, IT operations, legal departments, and business stakeholders to ensure actions are aligned with organizational priorities.
You will also work on long-term security transformation projects, providing strategic advice and technical expertise to improve clients’ security postures. Your role involves managing multiple workstreams, overseeing resources including subcontractors, and ensuring that remediation efforts are carried out efficiently and effectively with minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior organizational leaders to deliver proactive security initiatives, leveraging your technical insights to shape decision-making and improve security strategies.
- Support clients during cybersecurity testing, incident response, and recovery phases by providing expert technical guidance across various security technologies.
- Lead incident response and remediation projects, managing timelines, resources, and progress to ensure successful client outcomes.
- Coordinate and oversee critical security operations such as enterprise password resets, ensuring they are executed smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage and coordinate resources, including subcontractors, to deliver seamless technical support during remediation activities.
- Travel up to 30% and support the on-call schedule approximately once every 6 to 8 weeks, providing support outside of regular working hours as needed.
Candidate Qualifications
- A bachelorâ??s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of five yearsâ?? experience managing or leading security programs, overseeing technical projects, and guiding teams to implement security measures.
- Experience applying core cybersecurity principles and designing enterprise security architectures across diverse environments.
- Ability to travel up to 30% and participate in weekend on-call rotations every 6 to 8 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise security controls across both on-premises and cloud environments, including network segmentation and security architecture design.
- Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) best practices, endpoint hardening for Windows and Unix systems, and security enforcement strategies.
- Experience working across multiple industries, verticals, and with various service providers.
- Proven ability to document project requirements, manage scope, schedules, budgets, and deliver technical solutions under tight deadlines.
- Experience securing AI pipelines, deploying AI-driven security tools, or protecting cloud and enterprise architectures using AI technologies.
