As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of the Axon Alerts platform, which enhances public safety by ensuring timely notifications are delivered to the right individuals.

Your Impact

The Axon Fusus platform is a cloud-based Real-Time Crime Center that integrates various data sources to provide situational awareness for public safety operations. As a senior engineer on the Axon Alerts team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of this platform, which consolidates live video, sensor data, and analytics to empower officers with critical information.

What You’ll Do

• Work from our London office following a hybrid schedule, with in-person collaboration required from Tuesday to Friday and remote work flexibility on Mondays.
• Lead engineering architecture design reviews and set high technical standards for the team.
• Mentor fellow engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create integrated solutions.
• Enhance engineering processes and improve operational excellence through metrics and dashboards.
• Utilize the latest cloud-based and open-source technologies to drive innovation.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in designing and delivering scalable cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in backend service development using languages such as Java, Scala, Go, or C#.
• Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases and various service architectures.
• A passion for software engineering and a commitment to staying updated on industry trends.
