About the team

A key project includes an in-house chat platform managing approximately 5 million conversations each month. The team is continuously developing advanced features to automate tasks, improve communication, and proactively address issues before they impact users. These systems include automated notifications for delayed orders and integrated tools that facilitate quick, reliable support with a human touch, all aimed at maintaining high-quality service at scale.

Role overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining backend services that are high-throughput and low-latency, primarily using Go. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to deliver features that support internal support agents globally. Your role involves designing scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems, leading architectural discussions, and making key technical decisions. Writing clean, well-tested code and ensuring high standards of quality are essential parts of this position. You will also contribute to the teamâ??s operational stability by participating in on-call duties and incident management to uphold system reliability.

Candidate requirements

• Minimum of seven years of professional experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated ability to develop and scale complex systems.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with Golang in production environments, including mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices.
• Strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, especially Cassandra.
• Solid understanding of designing and operating distributed systems that require low latency and high throughput.
• Experience with on-call responsibilities, applying pragmatic approaches to system reliability and incident response.
• Additional desirable skills include familiarity with Node.js or other backend languages, cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP), and knowledge of event-driven architectures.
