We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer specializing in Android development to join our London-based team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and scaling our mobile applications, ensuring a seamless, high-performance experience for our worldwide user base. The position is based in our London office with a hybrid working model, typically requiring three days in the office each week.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop, and improve Android applications capable of handling complex, real-time interactions on a global scale.
• Lead architectural enhancements and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, maintainability, and operational health.
• Work closely with product managers and experience designers to plan projects, make technical decisions, and shape the product development roadmap.
• Take ownership of large features from initial design through to deployment, ensuring they are easy to maintain and operationally ready in production environments.
• Mentor colleagues, promote best practices, and actively participate in hiring efforts to grow the engineering team.

What You Will Need to Thrive

• Significant experience in developing Android applications at a large scale, with a deep understanding of the Android SDK, AndroidX, and modern development tools like Android Studio.
• Proven ability to design scalable Android architectures that deliver high-performance experiences in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong skills in Kotlin and/or Java, with a desire to continue advancing your expertise in Kotlin development.
• Experience owning the technical delivery of projects within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design.
• A passion for software craftsmanship, emphasizing the importance of writing clear, well-structured, and thoroughly tested mobile code.
