Join a dynamic team at Deliveroo, a leading company in the on-demand food delivery industry, as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in iOS development. This role is based in London and involves working in a hybrid setup, usually spending three days per week in the office. As part of our Consumer team, you will be responsible for the primary interface that connects millions of users to our platform, ensuring their journey from hunger to satisfaction is smooth, fast, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-quality iOS applications, focusing on creating a modular and maintainable architecture.
• Lead the technical execution of features, ensuring code quality through rigorous reviews and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain operational excellence by monitoring app performance, reducing crash rates, and enhancing visibility into system health.
• Work collaboratively with product managers and designers to decompose complex problems, influence the product roadmap, and balance feature delivery with technical debt management.
• Mentor team members by sharing expertise, guiding architectural decisions, and participating in hiring to build a talented engineering team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Significant experience developing iOS applications with proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C.
• Ability to scale mobile architecture within large codebases, ensuring performance and stability for a vast user base.
• Experience delivering technical solutions in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern iOS frameworks, including UIKit and AutoLayout.
• Commitment to quality, with a focus on writing well-tested code and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Effective communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
