The Role

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help design and implement the infrastructure that will support Pigment’s future growth. Our platform handles complex, large-scale datasets that require real-time updates and transformations, often involving billions of data points. Your responsibilities will include creating scalable, automated infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability and redundancy, and monitoring platform performance and correctness. You will participate in incident response and support our expansion into new international markets by adapting infrastructure accordingly. Additionally, you will work closely with our security team on infrastructure security measures and help identify and eliminate inefficiencies within our development pipelines through automation and process improvements. While your primary focus will be on infrastructure and operations, you will also contribute to software development activities, fostering collaboration with software engineers to address operational challenges effectively. You will be part of a dedicated SRE team within our broader engineering department, which develops and maintains our SaaS platform.

Our Engineering Team

Our engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining our SaaS platform, focusing on delivering a comprehensive, user-friendly product. Engineers participate throughout the entire development lifecycle, from design and coding to ensuring the platform’s stability in production. We value a pragmatic approach, selecting the most suitable tools for each challenge, and foster a culture of curiosity, humility, trust, ownership, and teamwork. Our technical stack includes Kubernetes (hosted on Google Cloud Platform), Terraform for infrastructure as code, PostgreSQL, SingleStore, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Temporal.io, and tools like ArgoCD, Istio, Vault, GitHub, and Docker. Our backend services are primarily built with C# ASP.NET Core 8 and Golang, running on Linux, while our frontend uses React with TypeScript, Jest, Cypress, and Vite.

Candidate Profile

We seek candidates with strong engineering skills, capable of translating product requirements into elegant, simple architectures that perform reliably. Experience as a software engineer combined with DevOps or SRE expertise is essential. Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred), cloud platforms (GCP experience is a plus), and software development in languages such as C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby is required. Knowledge of observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, or Jaeger is also important. We value problem-solving abilities, a customer-centric mindset, humility, and a desire to learn and grow. Fluency in English is necessary.
