Amazon’s Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to spearhead strategic initiatives within procurement operations. This role is pivotal in leading complex, cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and scaling organizational capabilities.
The Senior Supply Chain Manager will design scalable solutions and drive operational excellence across various projects and transformation initiatives within procurement operations. The position demands extensive expertise in supply chain management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, linking tactical execution to strategic outcomes that further GPO’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead complex initiatives with minimal guidance, working strategically and tactically across GPO operations at various levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Transportation, Procurement, Finance, Risk, Business Strategy, Technology, and Engineering to implement business transformations from start to finish.
- Develop mechanisms and metrics to monitor performance, assess benefit realization, and promote continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Utilize advanced Excel, SQL, and database tools to analyze complex data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for strategic enhancements.
- Influence organizational objectives by engaging with multiple stakeholder teams, functions, and leaders, extending influence across various groups.
- Propose network-wide solutions to lead process improvements and promote operational excellence best practices.
- Provide strategic direction and act as an escalation point for complex challenges, navigating difficult situations to find viable solutions.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in program or project management.
- Experience in supply chain management.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related field.
- Experience leading process improvements.
