Celonis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Value Engineer to lead transformative initiatives within the Public Sector, leveraging AI and data-driven strategies to optimize business operations. This role involves working closely with executive stakeholders to identify core organizational challenges, craft compelling value narratives, and drive strategic transformation programs across multiple regions or business units.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the value realization process, from initial discovery to delivering tangible ROI in targeted process areas. They will develop and present executive-level stories that highlight the benefits of transformation initiatives, and foster strong relationships with senior leaders to secure ongoing sponsorship and support.

Key responsibilities include managing large-scale, multi-region transformation programs, implementing AI-powered account planning and project management tools to streamline workflows, and automating governance processes such as quarterly reviews and steering committee meetings. The candidate will utilize AI tools effectively for rapid technical outputs, collaborating with Applied Value Engineers to develop detailed solutions and promote platform adoption within customer organizations.

Additionally, the role involves creating strategic expansion plans to embed Celonis as a core platform in client ecosystems, providing feedback to R&D teams based on evolving use cases, and continuously driving innovation and value delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of five years managing complex workstreams, customer relationships, and process improvements within Value Engineering, consulting, or pre-sales roles.
• A strong background in enterprise IT and business software such as SAP, Workday, Salesforce, or Oracle, with a focus on AI fluency and automation rather than extensive coding.
• An autonomous, proactive approach with a passion for delivering customer value, actively seeking high-impact solutions.
• Proven experience in executing process improvements and realizing measurable value from transformation projects.
• Experience managing multi-region or multi-business unit programs, with the ability to mobilize senior sponsors at VP or Director levels.
• Excellent command of English, with the ability to communicate confidently and persuasively at the executive level.
• A deep understanding of finance, supply chain, and public sector trends, with ongoing awareness of relevant industry use cases.
• Educational background in engineering, computer science, mathematics, business analytics, or a related technical field; or a business/economics degree with a technical minor.
