Senior Verification Engineer Overview

Fractile is seeking a Senior Verification Engineer to join their team in either the Bristol or London office. Founded in 2022, Fractile is dedicated to revolutionizing the hardware that powers advanced AI systems, aiming to enhance the speed and efficiency of output generation. The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience and a passion for verification, contributing to the development of world-class ML/AI integrated circuit products.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the development of high-quality ML/AI integrated circuit products for data center applications.
• Engage in pre-silicon RTL verification processes, ensuring the highest functional quality of RTL releases.
• Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines, including modeling, system architecture, and RTL design, to maintain a shared understanding of functional correctness.
• Contribute to discussions regarding specifications, architecture, and workflows to enhance product quality.
• Drive improvements in verification practices and foster connections between hardware and software teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in high-performance delivery organizations, particularly in pre-silicon RTL verification.
• Strong software development skills, particularly in Python or another object-oriented programming language such as C++.
• Understanding of digital hardware concepts and the ability to read and debug RTL in SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with debugging waveforms and a willingness to apply a software mindset to hardware challenges.
• Candidates with a background in UVM or strong software experience are encouraged to apply, even if they lack RTL experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in pre-silicon RTL verification, including verification planning and execution from specification.
• Ability to build testbenches, create stimuli, and perform functional modeling of hardware blocks.
• Familiarity with SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and transaction-level modeling methodologies.
• Experience with open-source tools for silicon development such as Cocotb, Verilator, and Icarus Verilog.
• Knowledge of commercial EDA tools and formal verification techniques.
