As part of Arm’s ongoing expansion, the CPU team is seeking dedicated engineers to join their Cambridge office. This role involves working on cutting-edge CPU products in close collaboration with the team. Arm is looking for candidates at all experience levels to join this innovative CPU team, which has been instrumental in developing some of the company’s most successful products. The processors designed by this group are utilized in billions of devices worldwide, including smartphones, tablets, AI applications, IoT, and automotive systems.
Verification engineers at Arm are at the forefront of technology, utilizing simulation, formal, and emulation tools to create industry-leading CPU intellectual property. Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a designated area within the CPU verification process, which includes developing unit-level testbenches and formulating the overall verification strategy for the project.
- Create and manage test plans and verification strategies to ensure thorough coverage and quality.
- Plan, track, and coordinate tasks for yourself or your team to achieve high-quality outcomes within set timelines.
- Utilize a data-driven approach to maintain product quality throughout the verification process.
- Contribute to verification improvement initiatives across the CPU team and the broader Arm verification community.
- Assess and resolve various issues that arise during the verification process for each project.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in designing and implementing verification environments for complex RTL designs.
- Strong proficiency in hardware verification languages such as Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Comprehensive understanding of the complete verification process, from creating test plans to achieving verification closure.
- Ability to quickly grasp and apply intricate specification details.
- Solid knowledge of computer architecture fundamentals, particularly in areas like pipelining, exception handling, and memory systems.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with verification methodologies such as UVM.
- Knowledge of programming languages like C/C++ and Python.
- Practical experience working on microprocessor designs.
- In-depth understanding of memory protection, memory translation, vector processing in CPUs, and exception and interrupt handling.
- Experience with constrained random stimulus and coverage goals in hardware verification.
- Ability to conduct technical reviews of colleagues’ work.
- Enthusiasm for artificial intelligence and its application in enhancing productivity.
Please note that no relocation package is available for this role. Arm will cover costs associated with sponsorship for the employer only, while the successful candidate will be responsible for their visa application fees and Immigration Health Surcharge.
