As a Silicon Verification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex silicon architecture into dependable AI computing hardware. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the RTL design aligns with the architectural specifications, safeguarding silicon quality before the designs proceed to physical implementation. This position places you at the intersection of architecture, logical design, and verification, allowing you to significantly influence the identification and resolution of issues before they escalate into costly problems.
Your duties will include planning verification strategies, defining coverage metrics, generating tests, and diagnosing failures. You will also work on improving shared infrastructure to expedite engineering processes and facilitate early problem detection. The verification team collaborates closely with Architecture, Logical Design, and Physical Design, relying on clear plans, coverage goals, test results, and direct technical feedback to guide their efforts. You will be expected to take ownership of your work, follow evidence-based practices, and maintain open communication across different sites.
The ideal candidate will have verification experience in CPU, ASIC, or closely related silicon environments. Familiarity with UVM, SVA, assembly language, compilers, Git, or DRMS tools is essential. You should possess the ability to plan verification work and drive functional coverage to closure, along with strong debugging skills across RTL, software, and shared verification infrastructure. Proficiency in SystemVerilog and Python is also required. While these qualifications are important, the company values transferable skills and diverse experiences, welcoming engineers returning to the field after a career break.

The company encourages applicants from all backgrounds and experiences and is dedicated to supporting individuals throughout the interview process. If you are ready to take on the challenge of verification work that directly impacts Graphcore’s silicon, we invite you to apply and help shape the future of AI computing.
