As a member of the AWS Utility Computing (UC) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and management of various services, including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps. This position requires a Technical Program Manager (TPM) who is an exceptional communicator and has a strong background in managing complex technical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, technical product managers, and software developers to facilitate the launch of various services in designated regions.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and assess high-risk areas.
  • Generate and analyze metrics related to launches, resources, and compliance.
  • Work alongside service owners to devise innovative solutions for complex technical issues.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of new tools aimed at automating and streamlining security, testing, and regional launch initiatives.
  • Assist in process improvement projects in partnership with service teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in technical program management, specifically working with software engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional programs and release timelines.
  • Experience in constructing and assessing system-level technical designs.
  • Capability to develop and execute product and technical roadmaps.
  • Experience in managing technical programs across various teams, establishing processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Direct experience collaborating with engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPIs and SLAs to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
