Role overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining backend services that are capable of handling high throughput and low latency requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teamsâ??including product managers, designers, and frontend developersâ??to deliver features that support internal support agents worldwide. Your contributions will directly impact how millions of users experience the platform daily.

Key responsibilities

• Build and sustain high-performance backend services using Go, ensuring they meet scalability and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with various teams to ship features that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of support operations globally.
• Design systems that are scalable, resilient, and straightforward to maintain, supporting future growth.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes.
• Write well-tested, high-quality code and uphold coding standards across the team.
• Engage in incident management, applying pragmatic approaches to system reliability and troubleshooting.

Candidate requirements

• At least three years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven ability to build and scale complex systems.
• Production experience with Golang, demonstrating strong engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, especially Cassandra.
• Deep understanding of designing and operating distributed systems that require low latency and high throughput.
• Experience with on-call duties, incident management, and system reliability.
• Bonus skills include familiarity with Node.js or other backend languages, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), and event-driven architecture.
