Graphcore is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their Triton team, focusing on building support frameworks that empower AI developers to fully utilize Graphcore’s hardware capabilities. The role involves ensuring that Graphcore accelerators work smoothly with popular machine learning frameworks such as Triton and PyTorch. As part of the Frameworks team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting essential software components that influence how researchers and engineers deploy machine learning workloads on Graphcore hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve support infrastructure that enables efficient use of Graphcore’s AI hardware.
  • Facilitate seamless integration of Graphcore accelerators with frameworks like Triton and PyTorch.
  • Design, implement, and optimize critical software modules to enhance performance and usability.
  • Contribute to shaping the way AI researchers and engineers leverage Graphcore hardware for complex machine learning tasks.
  • Enhance the overall quality, performance, and user experience of the software ecosystem.
  • Participate in the Triton team to develop new features, review code contributions, and produce technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with open-source communities and coordinate cross-team technical efforts.
  • Take ownership of technical tasks with significant impact, staying current with advancements in ML software.
  • Potentially contribute to other framework teams, broadening your technical scope.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven software engineering skills, with the ability to manage code quality, complexity, and technical debt effectively.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience in compiler development or related fields.
  • Capability to handle complex technical projects with dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to collaboration and technical leadership.
  • An interest in AI, machine learning frameworks, performance optimization, or computationally intensive engineering.
