Join our dynamic engineering team as a Software Engineering Intern, where you will engage in solving complex challenges in quantitative finance. Role Overview

The internship will run from 28th June 2027 to 17th September 2027, with working hours from 09:00 to 17:30. As an intern, you will be immersed in a hands-on engineering role, writing production-level code and collaborating with seasoned software engineers on significant projects from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality, maintainable code to manage large and complex datasets.
• Support and enhance production platforms and research tools.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to assess and improve data quality and its value.
• Develop and optimize database queries along with the underlying infrastructure.
• Improve internal tools and data processing pipelines utilized at scale.

Who Are We Looking For?

We seek motivated and inquisitive software engineers who are excited about the convergence of finance and technology. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field, targeting a 2:1 or higher.
• Graduation expected in 2028 and currently in the penultimate year of study.
• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, such as C#, Java, or C++.
• A solid understanding of core computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and systems architecture.
• An interest in how engineering underpins quantitative research and complex systems.
• A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• A proactive mindset towards improving code and systems.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
• A collaborative spirit and willingness to share insights and feedback.
