Overview
As an intern in the Site Reliability Engineering or Software Engineering teams at Google, you will work on projects that are vital to Google’s technological infrastructure and innovation. Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within diverse teams, engaging with peers, managers, and cross-functional colleagues to meet project objectives.

- Analyze data and evaluate results to determine the best solutions for technical problems.
- Apply knowledge from your academic coursework to solve real-world engineering challenges.
- Support the maintenance and reliability of critical software systems, ensuring they operate smoothly and securely.
- Participate in troubleshooting issues related to system traffic, outages, or performance issues.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of monitoring and alerting systems to maintain system health.
- Assist in building automation tools and infrastructure to improve scalability and resilience.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science or a related field within the EMEA region.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms through coursework, research, or practical projects.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
- Relevant internship or practical experience in programming languages like C++, Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience in areas such as AI/ML, infrastructure, web development, Unix/Linux systems, mobile apps, distributed systems, natural language processing, networking, or security software.
- Strong motivation and ability to learn new programming languages and technologies as needed.
- Availability to work full-time for the internship duration in the UK starting in May, June, or July 2027.
- Enrolled in your final or penultimate year of university studies.
