Google is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect specialized in Digital Platforms within Google Cloud to join their team. This role involves designing and implementing innovative solutions that leverage blockchain technology, tokenization, and AI-driven automation to modernize financial workflows, particularly in the capital markets sector. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to translate initial concepts into functional, scalable solutions that enhance efficiency and compliance within regulated financial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a scalable position-keeping system for blockchain networks, supporting various tokenized and hybrid financial instruments, to enable next-generation financial infrastructure.
• Lead the architecture and development of a digital wallet service that allows AI agents to query real-time position data, ensuring seamless and efficient data retrieval.
• Partner with client stakeholders to create detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), defining critical user journeys and success metrics for the solutions.
• Evaluate and integrate solutions within modern data ecosystems, including relational databases, data lakehouses, and streaming architectures, optimizing data pipelines for AI and real-time insights.
• Produce technical documentation and guidelines to facilitate smooth hand-offs from prototypes to full engineering implementations.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelorâ??s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years in software or data engineering roles, with strong programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.
• Deep understanding of design patterns, testing frameworks, and API contract design.
• Experience with back-office financial processes such as trade reconciliation, clearance, and risk mitigation in transaction settlements.
• Proven experience designing and deploying Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) solutions, including smart contracts, within regulated financial environments, managing token lifecycle processes.
• Preferred experience with AI tools that improve coding velocity and quality, especially in financial contexts.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, along with knowledge of financial regulations related to data residency, encryption (CMEK), and AI explainability.
• Strong data modeling skills across relational, NoSQL, and analytical databases, including techniques like Star Schema and Data Vault.
• Ability to independently lead discovery phases, transforming vague business problems into structured product requirements and prototypes.

About the Role

As part of the Global Solutions and Consumer AI team within Google Cloud, you will focus on delivering innovative, enterprise-grade solutions that drive customer value and adoption. Your work will involve designing blockchain and AI-driven solutions for clients in the financial services industry, particularly in capital markets, to modernize workflows and improve systemic efficiency. You will work under the guidance of senior team members, contributing to the development of prototypes such as a blockchain position-keeping service and an AI-powered wallet service.

Location and Compensation

This position is based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, with other locations including Munich, Germany; London, UK; and Zürich, Switzerland. The annual salary ranges from �148,000 to �151,000, complemented by a 20% bonus target, equity options, and comprehensive benefits.
