As a pivotal member of our engineering department, you will report directly to the Head of Engineering and play a crucial role in shaping the technical vision and strategy for your team. Key Responsibilities

• Take charge of technical vision, strategy, and execution within your team, while managing technical risks.
• Lead and deliver technical initiatives that span across teams and tribes.
• Own the architectural decisions for your tribe and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
• Provide technical guidance to anticipate and resolve product-level issues.
• Drive improvements in stability, performance, and scalability of critical business systems.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects that contribute to the company’s success.
• Promote adherence to engineering practices by setting a strong example.
• Collaborate with various functions including Product, Design, Data, and QA to achieve team goals.
• Facilitate continuous learning and improvement within your team.
• Ensure that systems meet quality, reliability, and scalability standards.
• Anticipate and adapt to broad technical changes to keep the company ahead of the curve.
• Communicate the company’s technological advancements to external tech communities through talks and blog posts.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering large systems with contributions from multiple teams.

• Experience in developing multi-year technology strategies that encompass multiple systems.

• Proven experience in developing complex Single Page Applications (SPAs) using JavaScript.
• Proficiency in React and Redux, along with modern JavaScript toolchains such as NPM and Webpack.
• Passion for writing maintainable and well-documented code.
