This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled verification engineer to join the Arm Systems Media IP team in Manchester. The team is engaged in developing Image Signal Processors (ISPs), Display Processors, and Video codecs for various markets, including automotive and IoT. As part of this role, you will be responsible for creating and enhancing hardware verification testbenches for next-generation hardware IP.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of verification for unit level or multi-unit hierarchy, or lead verification for an entire IP including ISP, Display, or Video.
- Design and implement verification IP and comprehensive verification environments.
- Evaluate proposed design changes from a verification complexity perspective.
- Analyze simulation data using machine learning and data science methods to enhance bug discovery and debugging processes.
- Identify and implement improvements in Media IP processes or methodologies to boost hardware verification efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams at Arm to ensure high-quality IP integration within complete systems.
- Mentor and support team members to foster their development.
Requirements
- Proven experience with constrained-random verification, including managing complex verification environments and developing testbenches.
- In-depth knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM (Universal Verification Methodology).
- Strong scripting capabilities to create and maintain scripts for various verification flows.
- Solid foundation in software engineering principles, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with tools and processes necessary for developing testbenches and completing all verification stages.
- Prior experience in technical or team leadership roles is essential for more senior positions.
