Summer Internship Electronic Engineer Overview

Join BAE Systems as a Summer Intern in Electronic Engineering, located in Great Baddow, starting in June 2027. This internship offers a competitive salary of £25,900 and is designed for students pursuing a career in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

As an intern, you will be involved in the full engineering lifecycle, from collaborating with clients to managing hardware design and manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the complete engineering lifecycle, collaborating with clients and handling all aspects of hardware design and manufacturing.
• Implementing complex signal processing algorithms using VHDL.
• Designing switch mode power supplies and working on low power embedded systems.
• Developing ruggedized devices suitable for challenging environments.
• Assisting colleagues in presenting new ideas to clients.
• Managing multiple assignments independently while receiving support from team members.
• Conducting research, data collection, and analysis.

You will be part of the Digital Intelligence Team, where you will develop skills to contribute to innovative solutions that enhance global security.

To qualify for this internship, you must have achieved, or be predicted to achieve, at least a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Maths, or Physics.
