About the Role
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s tax responsibilities across various jurisdictions. This includes ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws, managing tax filings, and supporting strategic business decisions related to taxation. The role involves direct interaction with tax authorities, particularly the Italian Revenue Agency, and requires managing complex tax planning, transfer pricing, and tax operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Planning & Compliance: Lead the development and execution of tax strategies at the group level, ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws such as corporate income tax, VAT, and other local taxes.
- Transfer Pricing: Oversee annual transfer pricing documentation and compliance, coordinating with external advisors and internal teams to ensure intercompany transactions meet all applicable tax standards across Italy and internationally.
- Tax Operations: Manage all tax-related operational activities, including calculating tax liabilities, handling tax treatments in accounting, preparing tax returns with external advisors, and managing tax aspects of employee incentive plans, contractors, welfare programs, and fringe benefits.
- Tax Due Diligence: Collaborate with external advisors during acquisitions and other significant transactions to evaluate tax implications and support tax-efficient structuring and integration.
- Tax Developments & Interactions: Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes, identify opportunities for tax optimization and incentives, and handle interactions with tax authorities, including audits, inquiries, and rulings.
