Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location Bristol

As a Technical Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in translating product intent into the technical tasks necessary to propel AI computing forward. Your primary responsibility will be to assist component-based software teams in delivering clear, prioritized, and impactful outcomes. You will bridge the gap between product intent, engineering delivery, and coordination across teams, ensuring that the software developed spans from bare metal silicon to the machine learning tools stack.

Your role will involve simplifying complex systems to make them easier to plan, explain, and deliver. You will take ownership of component backlogs, shape product roadmaps, and refine epics and user stories, while also supporting sprint and Program Increment (PI) planning. Early identification and communication of dependencies, risks, and trade-offs will be essential to your success.

The ideal candidate will bring a sense of calm, clarity, and momentum to technical teams, helping engineers focus on the most critical tasks. You will work closely with various component-based software teams within Graphcoreâ??s engineering organization, which builds across the entire AI compute stack, from silicon-level software to machine learning tools. Collaboration will be key, as you will facilitate clear planning, practical discussions, and rapid feedback loops. Your efforts will help teams visualize progress, engage the right stakeholders, and make delivery risks apparent early in the process. Decisions will be driven by product outcomes, technical evidence, and team insights, fostering an environment of open challenge and empowered decision-making.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience as a Product Owner or in a similar agile role.
  • Strong skills in backlog management, refinement, and roadmap development.
  • Excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confidence in working with technical teams and managing complex systems and dependencies.
  • Strong facilitation skills to guide discussions towards clear outcomes.
  • A strategic mindset, empathy, and the ability to provide calm and clarity to support teams.

While we have outlined these requirements, we value transferable skills and diverse experiences. If you meet most of our essential criteria, we encourage you to apply and demonstrate how your background makes you a strong candidate.

At Graphcore, we offer a range of benefits to our employees, including:

  • Unlimited annual leave.
  • Up to 5% matched pension contributions.
